Jason Jarvis

Chief Construction Officer

Jason Jarvis serves as Chief Construction Officer for Cavan Communities, where he leads the company’s construction operations and helps drive the strategy, execution, and continued growth of Cavan’s development platform.

With more than 27 years of management and leadership experience, Jason brings extensive expertise across the full real estate development and construction lifecycle, including land acquisition and due diligence, entitlements, horizontal development, preconstruction, purchasing and contracting, vertical construction, and financial management. Throughout his career, he has led teams and projects across major U.S. markets, with significant experience in residential development and Build-to-Rent communities.

Jason is a team-first leader who believes successful projects begin with strong people, clear expectations, accountability, and collaboration. His combination of construction expertise and financial background allows him to approach projects from both an operational and business perspective, with a focus on managing risk, controlling costs, building strong trade and consultant relationships, and delivering high-quality communities on schedule and within budget.

Prior to his career in construction and development, Jason was selected by the New York Yankees in the 1994 Major League Baseball Draft and played five seasons of professional baseball, reaching the Double-A level. He has continued his involvement in the game through coaching and youth baseball leadership. The lessons of teamwork, preparation, competitiveness, and accountability developed through athletics continue to influence his leadership philosophy today.
